The Challenge
Coneworx struggled to source suitable like for like replacement vehicles when vehicles were off the road, to allow them to continue day to day operations. They aimed to reduce vehicle downtime during servicing, maintenance and repairs, and avoid resulting penalties for failed works.
The Solution
After coming across Blakedale on LinkedIn, Coneworx got in touch to discuss their business requirements and felt Blakedale’s offering aligned well with their needs. Blakedale’s scope and size of fleet, along with vehicle availability, provided confidence that replacement vehicles could be supplied when required. Vehicles also come with tracking and cameras, providing data in the event of an incident, and providing reassurance and peace of mind.
Blakedale provided an initial consultative service and by working in partnership with Coneworx, have been able to support and supply suitable vehicles as business requirements change and new challenges arise, whilst reducing vehicle downtime and providing full transparency of works arranged. The traffic management market and contract requirements change regularly, and the relationship with Blakedale has meant Coneworx have been able to spot hire vehicles and IPVS on an ad hoc basis, often at very short notice.
Blakedale’s specialist team are also happy to offer advice and support and recently provided guidance on modifications to the design on a 3.5t Traffic Management vehicle, outlining changes that could and couldn’t be made and the reasoning behind this.
The Result
Coneworx have found the service to be very personal and have a close working relationship with Blakedale built up over the duration of the contract. The team are kept well informed of upcoming services, which are scheduled to reduce downtime, along with any issues or changes during servicing and repair.
Service and maintenance work times are prompt, and the option to have a spare vehicle on site for any issues or breakdowns has been a massive help in ensuring Coneworx continues to provide the best service to customers. Coneworx look forward to continuing to work in partnership with Blakedale.
